The year 2010 has already yielded many blessings at Latham Springs not only for those who came to visit for a retreat, but the camp also.  February presented a busy month as we were frequented by retreat groups of all types including youth groups, women’s groups, a 300 + college student conference and men’s conference exceeding 860.

In addition to hosting so many wonderful guests, we have had the pleasure of working side by side with the TBM Builder volunteers.  These men and women have dedicated time, energy and their excellent craftsmanship to the camp in many ways including the building of over 80 pieces of oak furniture, performing clerical duties, sewing auditorium curtains and framing up our pump house.
 
Our new bunk beds, tables, chairs and couches were all constructed in the spacious and also newly built maintenance shop.  Also under construction is the new multipurpose worship center “Miracle Hall”.  While only in the early stages of construction, this new gymatorium will be a tremendous asset to the ministry going on here at Latham Springs and for the many groups that will gather there in the future.

Everyone here at Latham Springs has been working very hard over the last months of 2009 and into 2010 improving current camp facilities and building new ones in our race to reach full operational readiness for the 2010 Summer Camp Season.  As we look forward to the spiritual harvest of the summer various projects are reaching completion and the Lord has been blessing all of the preparation efforts with tangible fruit. 

The foundation to Miracle Hall is complete and steel erection began March 29th. Auditorium renovation nearly at 100% with painting, pipe n’ drape curtains and wall covering next on the list.  Our hotel meeting room and hall ways have received a fresh coat of paint along with new carpeting and newly installed furniture.  Staff housing has received multiple improvements providing a homier atmosphere for those who live on site.  Cabins #3, #7 and #9 are scheduled for upgrades by this April.  The waterfront will be beautified with landscaping, new jogging trail and bridge construction while also adding storage/locker units and a coat of paint to the clubhouse.  Our efforts are far from over with many more projects in addition to these and growing ministry opportunities taking place around us.

Join us in our Worship Center on Thursday April 15th, 2010 at 8:30 AM for our yearly 50+ Spring Senior Day.

This Gathering will be a special time of fellowship in the Lord. A full day of worship, singing and inspirational messages will be provided along with a delicious lunch.
